There are about twelve well visited dive sites in the La Herradura area from the western side of Cerro Gordo to Marina del Este on the eastern side of Punta de la Mona.

The western side of La Herradura (Cerro Gordo) is also just inside the natural park that extends as far as Maro near Nerja.

Well explored dive sites include; Cueva del Luz, La Herradura playa (western side near Chambao de Vicente), Piedra del Hombre and the Marina playa on the eastern side of Punta de la Mona.

Some dive sites can be reached from the beach but most of the better site to dive can only be reached by boat, which we make possible with our RIB.
